    Bon je m'appercois que peu de monde on connaissance de l'étendu du talent de John Williams!

    Alors pour les intéressés je redonne la liste la plus comlette que j'ai peu trouvé (un grand merci au pasage a Little_Darth pour avoir fait les recherches!et grace petite correction de Obi-Wan2011!)

    AH, je l'attendais ce post !!!

    C'est une très bonne idée.. MAIS, deux petites choses :

    - ce n'est pas John Williams qui a composé Harry Potter 4, mais certains thèmes seronts repris.
    - il faut rajouter Memoirs of a Geisha qui sortira en décembre et dont Williams a fait la musique ( sans doute parce qu'au départ Spielberg était présentit comme réalisateur de ce film, qu'il a finalement juste produit ).

    Quelle liste...Je ne pense pas qu'actuellement un compositeur vivant puisse rivaliser (et je parle même pas en terme de box office). Comme l'a dit ton pote, HP 4 ça n'est pas de lui (sauf le thème principal, of course), par contre je ne suis pas d'accord sur la qualité de la musique de Doyle, qui m'a beaucoup plu (c'est peut être même la meilleure BO des HP, à mon gout).
    Je ne savais pas également qu'il avait fait la musique de la Bataille de Midway, et que celle-ci est reprise dans Pearl Harbor (que je n'ai pas vu :col: ).

    Le pot se permet d'intervenir et j'ajouterai une remarque sur celle de DarthWagner... il a bien dit vivant... et il a eu raison...

    Car si John Williams est incontestablement le compositeur le plus présent aux Oscars, il faut préciser une chose ( il faut être objectif tout de même ), le compositeur Jerry Goldsmith, décédé en 2004, était le seul pouvoir prétendre rivaliser avec John Williams niveau célébrité : il a composé beaucoup, beaucoup, beaucoup de musique de films... et il est très très très célèbre... bien que peu nominé aux oscars...

    J'appose ici un petit article sur lui :

    Jerry Goldsmith est désormais une légende. Récemment disparu des suites d'un cancer qui l'a peu à peu affaibli 3 ans durant, on peut désormais le considérer comme l'un des monuments de la musique de film hollywoodienne, accumulant près de 300 oeuvres au compteur en l'espace de 40 ans de carrière. De ce fait, il a acqui un style très personnel. Il est notamment très fort dans la musique d'action (sa partition pour Air Force One en est un bon exemple). C'est aussi, comme Williams, un grand nom de la direction d'orchestre, et il est très inspiré pour trouver de grands thèmes héroïques ou lyriques quand il le faut !
